Basics
- Combat:
Battles progress automatically, with units attacking randomly - Skills:
Skills can be used once per combat per unit. The "Cooldown" associated with them does not do anything. Perhaps it was never implemented. - Rebirth System:
When a unit reaches level 15, it can rebirth. Each rebirth adds a certain amount of stats-per-level and exp-cost-per-level, and might unlock new skills. (See example below for Warrior rebirth scaling)
Q&A
- Does rebirthing affect a character's base stats?
No, every lvl 1 for a class is essentially identical. Rebirth only affects scaling - Does the rebirth bonus depend on the level of the unit when it rebirths
No. It doesn't matter if the unit is level 15 or 90 when you rebirth. You get the same bonus. It is fastest to rebirth as soon as you reach whatever threshold you are aiming for. - How does EXP scale within a rebirth?
Within a rebirth, linearly for each level. Does not grow exponentially at higher levels. - How does EXP scale between rebirths?
Each rebirth adds a flat amount (dependent on class) to base EXP needed - Do different rebirths affect EXP scaling differently?
YES! For example, Warrior adds a flat +320 exp per rebirth to the base EXP needed per level, but other classes seem to add slightly more. - Does it matter what classes a unit was before rebirthing?
YES! Dramatically changes the unit's stat scaling!! A unit's rebirth history has a bigger impact on their scaling than their current class - How does mana pay for EXP?
1 mana = 5 exp - How do stats change as a unit levels up?
Stat scaling is linear across levels. You get the same amount of stats going from 1->2 as 24->25 - Can I quantify the impact of each rebirth on power growth?
Yes. You can measure this. I've only done it for Warrior though. Details below. - How are decimals rounded?
Stats appear to be rounded down in all cases for display, but the formula should hold - What impact does rebirthing the same class multiple times have, if any?
This appears to apply the class's rebirth bonus linearly without penalty - Does rebirth scaling fall off over time?
I'm not sure. If I extrapolate the Warrior scaling out to my strongest characters, you'd be way better off only rebirthing warrior over and over... Is the calculation wrong, or is that actually true?
Strategy Tips
- Class Planning:
Choose a target class to aim for and build to that specifically. Ashura is best offensive. Samurai is best Utility. - Healers:
If you want a healer or two, that's fine too. Build to Saint. - Rebirth Efficiency:
Avoid unnecessary rebirths into other classes outside of your tree. Avoid the Magic tree altogether unless you are building a mage. - Mage Warning:
Don't bother building a mage. Their DPS isn't particularly good and they are extra squishy. - Weapon Choice:
The best weapons in the game are crafted weapons. Choose Sword, Hammer, Axe or Bow to get +4 MultiHit on your crafted weapons.
